Here is more information about my ex-boss Jim:

Most exciting thing that happened to him in the past year: "I didn't die. But it would have been a comfort." He has a dark sense of humor.

The top place he visited this year is Carmel, CA. I asked for two favorite destinations, but he replied, "Who can go to 2?"

He believes the most important national event of the year is the presidential primaries. He thinks the biggest international event of the year is the war in Iraq.

His biggest hero is his dad.

On what it's like to be his nationality: "Being American means freedom of expression."

He feels the most important development of the last 100 years is cars.

He believes the most important development for the next 25 years is the Internet.

If he could change one thing about the world: "Peace - but that means everyone would really have to get along with each other."

- Jim is editor of the "Scottsdale Republic" in Arizona
